In Q1 2026, we assessed 15 drone photography companies operating in Florida. Using a weighted scoring methodology, we ranked the strongest performers, listed in the table below. Each company was scored on the following criteria:

We weighted six factors:

• FAA Part 107 Certification & Insurance (25%): whether the company explicitly states FAA Part 107 certification and commercial liability insurance. This is a legal requirement for commercial drone work, so it carries the most weight; “confirmed” means the company states it outright
• Client Reviews (20%): what independent review data actually exists on major platforms (Google, Clutch, Yelp), reported as found rather than converted into an invented cross-platform average
• Transparent Pricing (15%): does the company publish actual price ranges or packages (Yes), or is it quote-only (No)?
• Statewide Coverage (15%): a Yes/No factor: does the company cover all of Florida, or only a specific region? Most drone operators are regional, so this flags the few that can serve a project anywhere in the state. (We still note each company’s home region separately, since a regional specialist is often the better local choice.)
• Drone Focus (10%): is aerial/drone work the company’s core business (Yes), or one service within a broader offering (No)?
• Average Review Rating (15%): the company’s actual published star rating on its primary review platform, reported with the platform and review count. Where no verifiable public rating exists, we mark it as such rather than inventing a number; a fabricated score attached to a real business would misrepresent it and undercut the point of a transparent ranking.
